(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New to chickens got freshly hatched chicks June 17th No one was very happy about my chicken purchase but they seem to be warming up.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Started off with 17. Gave 3 away had one casualty. Down to 13, hopefully all hens but I do have one or two questionable she’s that may be he’s. Fingers crossed my husband said he does not want a rooster in our backyard flock
(3) What breeds do you have?
I ordered a variety pack of rainbow egg layers. I’m slowly trying to figure out what we have
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We got them for the eggs but they are definitely a trip to watch I have some that really like me and others that prefer I don’t touch them lol but it’s fun watching them altogether.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to cook, love to craft, working with my hands.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My soon to be husband (had to postpone due to pandemic) is the handyman building all my projects. We have a baby girl on the way due in November and two crazy dogs one American Bulldog and one mini low rider Pit.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
