New to the chicken world

Hi Everyone! I am just starting out and trying to convince my wife to jump into chickens as well. I have read everything I can get my hands on but want to experience the real thing! I am looking at raising some meat birds (Cornish Rock Broilers) and a half-dozen or so laying hens (Maybe Plymouth Rocks or a hybrid - suggestions are welcomed

).

Anyway, it's good to be part of the community!
