Good Evening all I am new to the idea of keeping chickens we kept a few as kids now I want to share that experience with my kids. I think I am going to build a pallet coop.
 
First time here, hope I'm posting in right forum. I live in Austin, TX, and keep a flock of pampered chickens. They range in age from 16 weeks to 12 years old. We just finished building a new barn and have spent the last 2 nights coaxing the birds to roost in their new home. Last night it took 2 hours to get them to bed, and just 1/2 hour for them to settle in tonight.
 
Welcome both of you to Backyard chickens. A visit to the Learning Center will be very beneficial . You may also want to visit the coops section for ideas & check out your state threads for BYcers in the your locales.
