Hello all. This is my first flock and honestly, first experience with a forum. But I know that it takes a village so here I am. My husband, 5yo daughter and I reside in beautiful Northern Arizona on almost 2 acres. After much much research we decided to forgo grocery eggs and sustain our own! We decided on a rainbow flock of; 2 wayondotees, 2 leg horns, 1 australorp and 1 EE. I'm not sure that the feed store was correct on the estimate of the chicks age so I'm having a hard time planning ahead. Also. I'm pretty sure that one of the "guaranteed to be hens leg horns" is a Cockrell.

Despite my research I would like some real time advice on, what now? What are some tips I can be given that I can't read about? Any advice on the breeds?
