New to the Flock

Had chickens many years ago. My daughter convinced me that we need to have them again. Our "Royal" birds are; Lady Di, Camilla, Markle, Fergie, Charlotte and HRM, Majesty.

Plan ahead and read up.

Many people insulate their coops only to find out that chickens are wearing down jackets and ventilation is key to not letting moisture settle on combs and such to cause frostbite.

Well I told my daughter we should have a theme for the gal's names and my Mom was British so hence we have the Royal's. I expect we'll have to have at "Randy Andy" at some point.

So far the only theme I have going is the chick with the prettiest, girl-iest name is a cockerel
