Hello, Im new to the forum and I'm not sure exactly how they work. I'll play around and figure it out. I joined because I'm a third year ameture chicken farmer and I really enjoy having my own chickens. I'm a self taught city boy. I even learned how to process chickens by book and intrtnet tutorial. Im now having problems with my chickens and can't seem to figure it out. They have not and will not lay eggs. I bought them from TSC the week before easter. THe chickens do not seem sick. They actually look great. I'm a little lost so I'm hoping for a little advice. Something other than they must all be roosters. Thats all the help I can get from the guys at work. So any help you can give will be appreciated. I feel bad that I talked my neighbor into checkens and I don't have any eggs anymore. Best regards from Central Ohio.

When chickens loose there feather (molting) they stop laying, stress, too cold , too hot, not enough day light. There are a lot of factors why chickens stop laying. Give them time they will start in again!

Like kidcody said, there are several factors that will cause a hen to stop laying. She could be molting, be stressed, or it could just be that the cold weather and shorter days have made her system slow down a bit. But give them some more time and you will get eggs.
