Hi Folks,
So far, we have almost a completed coop, built based on the Purina plans and have ordered 3 Red Sex-link Chickens from our local TSC for April 3rd delivery.
My wife and son love eggs and one of our clients brings them in regularly so we decided, as a family, why not our own.
We're planning on a fenced run as we have lots of critters in the area that would love a chicken for lunch. Raccoons, skunks, foxes, I think at least one coyote has cruised through and tons of neighbourhood cats. Want to keep the ladies as safe as possible and as comfortable as we can. Hence 3 birds in our coop that the plans say could house up to 8 birds.
Looking forward to being an active member and learning as much as we can along the way.

PS. I hunt wild turkey and on other forums this is my username. No interest in raising these big moody birds.
