Hi my name is Amanda and I have owned chickens for a couple of years now. I used to have groups on Facebook to get info but I recently got off Facebook so now I’m joining this! I recently bought several different breeds at a poultry show and things are starting to come up that I need advice for! I have 14 hens and 3 roosters. I have unknown breeds because the people didn’t write down what they gave me like they were supposed to and I can’t remember the names but lots of different types of bantam hens. Seabright, cochin, crevecoeur, Sumatra, i think one is a Barbu d Anvers, and I think I have a blue old English bantam, Dominique, barred rock, Rhode Island Red, a cochin silkie roo, a Brahma roo, a sex linx roo I think, a lot of maybes and unknowns lol!

:welcome
:yesss:We are glad you joined our flock.
Jump right in and make yourself at home.
Look for the 'what breed/gender' forum and post photos there so people can help you figure out what breeds you have.

Greetings and welcome to BYC Amanda from NE TX! So glad you joined us. Sounds like you're off to a rip roaring start there! lots of "unknowns" huh? :barnie There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. I recommend at least your state as most folks won't be able to figure out where if you put anything more specific (county, town, street, etc) by itself. Old folks like me :old will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
