New to the group

Hello! South Texas homesteader here. We've had a small flock of Barred rocks and a few black sex links for a few years, added Rhode Island reds, Wynadotes, and Easter Eggers a year ago. We are up to 17 hens and one RIR roo. Our flock is free range during the day but in a secure coop after dark to prevent night time predation.

Welcome to BYC! I have secure coops and runs and trapped the coons and possums that visited at night to eat the feral cats food (still feral after all these years). My problem was when a fox figured he could jump the electric fence. So beware of that. And Beware the Ides of March!
