New to the show chicken thing. Can anyone tell me what a Golden lace Cochin should cost. I have been told 35.00 and 100.00 just because they r so rare. Any help please and thank you.

! Great to have you with us. I sure don't know the answer to your question other than that show quality birds can run into some money. You might see of there are some keepers of that breed in the link below - if so they may be able to give you an idea. Good luck to you!

I don't know what to tell you except - don't go by price alone. Buyer beware

Some people, by this I mean dog,cat, horse, etc. breeders charge what the market will bear. Like Rare pure white boxers $$$$$ when such dogs might be put to sleep by reputable breeders because they are generally totally deaf. I know of people running what I would call "Chicken Mills," - hundreds of chickens of every breed and of course every last one of them is show quality, even tho they have never even read the breed standard.

Just learning new phone. Only way to get Internet at home. Well not sure what to say but... I have all kinds... Chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, pheasants, peafowl , and Emu's...dog.... Rabbits and my love horses. My big problem is I have MS. And have forgot things... So from time to time I will ask a dumb QU...I am sell down my stock... Witch is hard. But if they go to good homes things will be just sucky for all.

Thanks for all the hi... I will try to day hi to all back...but sometimes writing is no longer a strong point for me...either is eye sight...

But QU today is help.... I have Emu's....
