New to the site and chickens

Thanks everyone! I have 1 Black Australorp, 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Amerucana, I got 2 Rainbow Layers that from looking at pics and asking on here 1 is a Barred Rock and 1 is a hatchery quality red or Rode Island Red, 3 Asian Blue, and 3 Red Rangers. I had 2 of the Australorp but lost one. I had checked on everyone before I left and a couple hours later when I checked again she had no control of her neck. They like to jump on top of the feeder and water things then jump to the side of the box, so I think when one jumped back down it landed on her and broke her neck. My boyfriend felt so bad for me he went out and got the Asians and Reds. He said I wanted to replace the one but I had to buy a minimum of 6. The others are about 5 weeks and the new ones are 1 week. My dogs are never alone with them but the one that cries when the chicks make a ruckus is so gentle. She once carried a baby bunny in to me and layed it on my bed next to me. The outside cats always chased them and tried/did kill them so I think one got ahold of the bunny and she brought it to me to save it from the kitties. She is the mother hen type too. She would have been a good mommy!

Sounds like you have a lovely flock. You definitely will be getting a "rainbow" of eggs from all of them. Good luck raising them! Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
