I always like to err on the side of caution. It may be hens fighting over the chicks, or maybe broody mama did it. In either case I would brooder raise it. Give it a mirror so it thinks it has a buddy, and a nice soft stuffed toy to cuddle with. If there are more chicks and none get hurt, I would put one chick in with the lonely one.

Oh man, all is quiet now and the baby is tucked tight under Momma B the good one, I will update in the morning.
