Hi all!
I'm new to farming in general. We just got some property last fall and added chicks in the spring. We have about 16 hens and 3 roosters, plus kune kune pigs, nigerian dwarf goats, cats, a pet dog and a guardian livestock puppy. Our chickens are a mixture of Plymouth Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, Australorps, Speckled Sussexs, and Easter Eggers. We live in the high desert in Idaho. Raising our kids and managing our animals and property doesn't give much extra time for hobbies, but I also enjoy reading, fishing, and am just getting into sewing.
I've actually been using the site since I first got chickens, but I thought I would join and get to know some of you as well.
