Just found this site and how lucky i was too. I recently purchased 11 chick pullets at the tractor supply. I plan on purchasing a Q46 Chicken coop with wheels. When i position the coop, i plan on building a run that attaches and can be removed. When the chicks are old enough to be introduced to the coop, what is the best way of doing this and if i decide not to attach a run, how do i introduce the coop to chicks and have them continue to use it.

How old are your chicks now? Generally, they can go outside once they are feathered out. A lot of people on here close the birds inside the coop for a couple of days or so before letting them into the run. That way they will know where "home" is when they need to go inside for the night.

Nice coop indeed! You'll find great, friendly, knowledgable folks here, only to happy to point you in the right direction.

One word of caution, from what I've learned here, chicken math can be killer!

Good luck with your chicks!
