New to the whole chicken thing but having fun

Hi Newbie
I Am A Newbie Myself And Have Found That I Have Become Addicted To This Site....so Many Helpful And Wonderful People Out There And Always Willing To Help. I Have My First Flock Of 6 Rir Hens And Loving It. Even My Dh Is Really Into It. I Decided To Start Off Small Because I Wasn't Sure What I Was Getting Myself Into, But I Can See My Flock Growing In The Near Future. They Are So Much Fun And Not Too Much Work. I Too Have Mine Spoiled. Everytime They See Me They Flock Around To See What New Treat I Have For Them. Lol. I Think The Funniest Thing They Do Is When One Finds A Worm And The Others Chase Her To Get It.
 
Don't think I'm going to need to build a bigger coop as I went a little OVERBOARD in the first place and built a 16' x 16' house with a 9' ceiling on the tallest side. I'm now getting a lot of smart remarks about having the biggest dang chicken house in Huerfano County Colorado. I have to admit they are delightful little birds and so amusing. My husband had been somewhat distant about them until the other evening when he went into the chicken yard to help me collect them for the night. He hadn't even held one and when he held one of the little ones for the first time he got this big smile on his face and commented about how soft and warm they are! Now HE'S talking about getting more chickens! Our daughter sits in the chicken yard and plays with them. She's 14. I can't wait until I can free range them but they're too little right now.
