New to the world of Chickens

We have just added to our family: 3 black australorp, 3 barred rock, 3 rhode island red, and 1 hybrid of RIR & cherry egger (i think).

They are all about 8-15 days old and looking very healthy.

Not quite sure what you mean by the discussion thread -- this is one of them, and you just posted in it.
