New to this adventure

I am brand new to raising chickens. The 6 of them have been growing in the basement and will need a nice outdoor coop in the next few weeks. My ten-year-old granddaughter was staying with me and attending school. We happened to walk into Tractor Supply looking for something and she fell in love with the cute fuzzy chicks. We have 3 different breeds, 2 of each. I currently, don't recall the breeds, one is a yellow that said be careful, fast and lively on the container at the store. The other ones are a dark brown with patterns. I found your site as I was looking for a decent and sturdy, yet not overly expensive chicken coop and run.
I have enjoyed doing genealogy, going on adventures with my three dogs. One believes she was put on earth to track down porcupines. Just can't rid her of that obsession! I also enjoy fishing, cooking, baking, camping, travel, hiking, canoeing, reading. Sometimes I find time to watch movies on Amazon Prime or Netflix, if the dogs are quiet and the house is empty of grandkids. I have 8 grandkids, only 2 are girls. I will retire shortly after 30 years of teaching high school special education students in Michigan's western upper peninsula.
