New to this and ducks

They are mallards. Wow now I wonder more than ever what sex they are. If the beak isn't an indicator and they are all still peeping at 5 weeks old. Thank you all for the tips and I will check out those links NeedlessJunk.

I have 2 Rouens & 2 Pekins. Thankfully, I ended up with just one drake! It was around 7 weeks when I could discern definite quacks vs. the hoarse sounding voice. LOL...yes, it sounds a bit painful for the drake, like he has a sore throat or laryngitis.

Oh! It was around that same time, 7 weeks of age that I noticed the beginning of his drake feather, too.

Wow! I noticed my drake's unusual voice right away at a couple of days old. Maybe there was something wrong with him that he sounded different that early.

I wonder if I could record their peeping and you could tell the difference Alexandra. I also wonder how to post pics and videos on threads.

I am also on a mobile device the way I add videos is uploading them to YouTube copying the url and pasting it between this (if viewing mobile way) [ video ]paste url here[ /video ] (no spaces between the brackets and words) if viewing fill.site you can click video and paste url there it will add the bracket things for.you

I do not have a YouTube account but I will either make one or borrow someone's computer or laptop sometime. Because even when I tried to switch from mobile website to desktop on my phone, video still wasn't an option. I will take pics of my ducklings and their setup in the morning and post them.
