Hello! I joined this site to learn how others take care of their flocks and how I might be able to improve with my own chickens! I hope to learn a lot here and I hope you guys will learn from me too.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens for about 2-3 years, and I am always learning something new about them!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently I own 6 hens and 2 chicks that are 3 months old
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Australorp, 3 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Turken, 1 Easter egger, 2 Silver Lace Wyandotte's
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I discovered this site while I was researching on broody hens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am an avid reader and I love writing stories.
