New to this. Could these be Roos?

One thing you can look for is saddle feathers. Like Ravyn said, look at the base of the tail/lower back area and see if there are any shiny, spiky pointed feathers coming in. If you find some, that's your boy.

Well its good to know Vader & Luna are safe. Those 2 are the beloved of my hubby & chicken whisperer daughter. It'd kill them to lose either of them.

I understand the wondering with Captain. We've wondered lots about if it's awkward teens or late blooming RIR Rooster.

I'll get better pictures of Captain, Jules & C3PO tomorrow. Combs & what else should I try to get pictures of?

I was suspecting Captain but really think you got ALL PULLETS!
As for crowing, a Pullet/Hen will crow, serious. I didn't think so until I had an Orpington Pullet crow, know she was a she, laid an egg & caught her crowing. And I read about it right here on BYC.

So update. The crowing is starting between 7 & 8 am which seemed odd. Yesterday at the first crow I ran to the window & the only 1 I could see that was possible was our 4 year old RIR Hen, Red, that stopped laying about 8 months ago.

We started to wonder then this morning same thing. About 7:45 the crowing and only chicken with head tilted up was Red, the RIR hen. So...we are going to keep watching but I think we have 5 pullets and a 4 year old hen that has decided she's a rooster.

So update. They are all Pullets & Hens. The crowing is one of the 4 year old hens for sure. Luckily she only dies it 2 days a week and never before 6 am. Crazy but grateful I don't have a Roo in my babies!
