Hello,
We are a family of 5 including 2 homeschoolers that are active in 4H. We are moving back to North Carolina and will be raising chickens in April with our neighbor. My wife and I have had many chickens before and now want to introduce our children to chicken raising for eggs, meat, biodynamic farming, neighborly commerce, ,heritage conservancy, and plain fun. We have hermit crabs, and a hamster.
We already have a pen and a large brooder.
We are located in Rodanthe, NC.
We are especially interested in the following heritage breed listed as critical or threatened: Buckeye, Holland, Dorking, Delaware, and Sussex.
