Hello All!
I'm actually surprised I didn't have a membership before this.
Anywho, I raise several breeds of 'backyard quality' chicken, muscovy ducks, mutt (Embden/Tolouse?) geese, Welsh Harlequin ducks, meat chickens, and Turkeys (BBW's).
The chicken breeds we have are :
New Hampshire, Rhode island reds, silver laced wyandotte, white leghorns, brown leghorns, EE's, and Australorps. Right now, most of the RIR's, all the SLW and the white leghorns are chicks... about half grown. My trouble is, I still want MORE breeds!
My 'scovies are blues, lilacs, chocolates, blacks... and I think I've had a silver or two hatch here but I didn't know to keep them... it looked white until I put it in the person's box during a sale, then you could see a faint pattern... drat!
Also, more muscovy genetics research rendered a fun revalation - I just found out today that my 'scovies that I've had that I THOUGHT were 'blue fawns' are actually lilacs. Oops!
Nice to meet everyone!
