new to this game

Hello i am new to the chicken raising experience we do farm and have horses and cattle
never really have done anything with chickens. This year my daughter hatched chicks at
school so we voluntered to take them in. i have been reading up on some material but any words of advice would be great we just picked up the chicks today.
