Hi, I am new to the group and first time chicken owner. I live in Tennessee and I have 3 Sapphire Gem week old chicks, and read they are also known as Sapphire Blue Plymouth Rock's. First Question is that correct? I have more chicks coming in April. I am very excited and started by reading as much as I could to at least have a general understanding. I have my coop up and run, but for now they are in my spare room. I found this site on a youtube channel Oak Abode she recommended it. I live on a quarter acre right now and have dedicated a portion for the chicken/gardening and the other side my 2 sidekicks(the dogs). My goal in 5 to 6 years is to move out on to more land and really have the homestead I envision. So excited to learn from everyone.
