New to this site. Have ducks and chickens

Hello,
My name is Dawn and I have just joined this site. I have 12 ducks (3 female and 9 drakes) 2 mallards, 4 pekin, 2 Indian runners and 4 undetermined runners.
23 laying Isa browns, 15 easter eggers chicks, and an unknown rooster breed.

Welcome Dawn!! Sounds like you have a lovely mix in your flock!
I do want to ask you one thing; how old are your ducks? Are they breeding age yet? I don't want to be critical but 3 females for 9 drakes is not a good ratio at all. You definitely want to have more girls than boys or your girls may get over bred. I have two drakes and six females and that works fine. I used to have three drakes but got rid of one cause my girls were getting bald spots from the drakes grabbing them.

I agree - too many boys will be running the girls ragged. Since ducks like to breed on water, a gang of them could easily kill a hen - by drowning.
