Hello

I have been reading by for years but I am recent to signing onto the forum.

I have a question....I have rescued a hen that was the only survivor from an attack to it's flock. I have kept the hen separate and nursing it back to health.
The hern is healing well but the last few days the droppings looks like the layer crumble. She eats and it looks like she has pooped it out.

Any thoughts and or suggestions appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome to Backyard Chickens! We are glad you joined the flock!:welcome BYC is a helpful site providing all of the information you need to know about poultry. There is always space for members on the BYC roost!:highfive: It sounds like she might have a lack of grit. Is she getting enough? Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!

Welcome! So nice of you to take in that poor hen. I've got no helpful ideas for you/her, but someone else will come along soon and maybe some more information will help. Where are you located? How long since the attack? What do you feed, including treats? Does she still lay? When was her last egg? And, yes, everyone's always asking for poop pictures around here!
