Hopefully this helps. I was misinterpreting the "pointy feathers" instruction on reading the sex of your chickens - I thought they were referring to how the feather physically pointed off the chicken, not that rooster feathers are physically pointy vs. hen feathers being physically round. I myself LOVE my buff orpingtons. So does my dog, I'm pretty sure he thinks he's a chicken now because of those two.
