new to this

hi everyone, I will be getting our first chickens tomorrow (just 3 to start).... I don't have a waterer but is there somthing I could use short term like 2-3 days until I get a proper waterer

any suggestions would help.... also any tips for a newbie.

I can't speak for babies, but we just got 3 9-week-old pullets on Tuesday. My waterer didn't arrive until Thursday. A bowl of water did just fine in the meantime! Just make sure you refill frequently. Not sure where you are, but it's hot, hot, hot here in Ohio!

Set it up on a brick or block if they keep stepping in it and spilling it.

thanks... that's what I was going to use just wasn't sure if it was OK. we are adopting 4 adult sexlinks. I'm in ont. Canada and it's starting to get pretty hot.
