Welcome to BYC!Hi! I recently bought some buff orpingtons and some bantam cochins — (4 total) and anticipate 4-15 more in the coming week. The orpingtons are 3 months old, the bantams are 1-1/2 years. I also added 5 ducklings to our farm a couple of weeks ago and am hoping to enjoy all of them together at some point. I’ve had chickens but that was 20 years ago so I feel like I’m starting fresh and need to relearn everything I forgot. My chickens were hand raised and one of them is especially loving and meek, her name is Mary. Ask of them will eat from my hand and I’m loving their social nature. We live in a forest area... today I’m building a chicken tractor and a larger pen to keep them all in... I have looked at coop plans here, in fact I found BYC by searching for free chicken coop plans.
