Well welcome I am fairly new to raising chickens as well just started in April of 2023. I have learned so much and have so much more to learn. My advice on the coop... Make sure you have plenty of ventilation and insulation to protect them from the cold and frost bite, make sure you put a poop tray under the roost it makes it so much easier to keep the coop clean. Also be sure to add a run that is big enough and warning they are addicting you will want to add to your flock so consider that when you plan how big you make the new coop. As I said I started in April of 2023 with 12 hens and a 7x7 coop and 8"x 24" run 8 months later we have added 3 more hens and another coop 6x6 with a run 6x10 we will be expanding this run in the spring to hold another flock. We have also added a grow out coop in our laundry room that is 6x6. I have incubated 10 babies for my niece that hatched on November 10th and I still have for the time being because of the cold weather. And I have 4 Babies that are 1 month now and another 9 that I am hatching right now. Like I said it is addicting. Also chickens can get all kinds of illnesses for example have you ever heard of bumble foot or egg bound? ugh so much to learn. Like mites and lice and how to help prevent them. Or that you should provide oyster shells for strong egg shells. Good luck and I truly hope you fall in love with your new furry babies.

Oh I almost forgot the mini coop I made from an old TV cabinet to put in the main run for see don't touch for introducing new hens to the flock or could be used if hens are hatching new babies.
