Basically what the title says. I'm a FFA member out of Iowa and I've never raised breeder chickens but have raised about 400 Cornish Rocks at a single time with less than 6% Mortality rate and I'm pretty good at raising them for County/State Fair but am unable to show them at state this year.

More or less I'm curious what would be a good show breed that would be good to start with? I've been looking at White Leghorns, Cochin, Plymouth Rocks, Phoenix, ect. I'm just curious what breeds need what type of attention. I've got the space and the facilities for these birds and I won't be showing them most of the year so I'm not looking for something entirely expensive.

I'm pretty sure I want to buy a few pullets/cockerels instead of chicks so I don't have to deal with the hassle/problems with the chicks at early age.

Thanks guys.
