New to turkeys

I’m new to both turkeys and chickens, is it safe to keep both in the same coop and pen?
Check to see whether or not blackhead is a problem in your area. If blackhead is present, keeping turkeys with chickens can be a death sentence to the turkeys. If not, they can be kept together under the right conditions.

There are plenty of other reasons why it is not necessarily a good idea to keep chickens and turkeys in the same pen and coop.

Depends on black head, how much room they have, and individuals.
I don't have black head. However I have had some squashed chickens. I also had a particular roo and Jake that I had to separate because they hated each other. Of course the roo got loose and I seen him heading towards the jakes. Before I could get there he was dead. Shortly thereafter the jake went to freezer camp. The other roos learned to run from the turkeys. They have plenty of room and obstacles so they can avoid the aggressor
