Hi ya'll I have chickens, ducks, and rabbits but I have never had any turkeys! Going this afternoon to pick up 2 Blue Slate Turkeys (Suppossed to be a pair but we will see) They had them advertised on CL for $25 for the pair. see the listing here: http://springfield.craigslist.org/grd/2376694967.html I know from Cackle that babies are over $7 each so I am thinking that $25 is a good deal right?
Anything I need to know?? Should I put them in their own pen or can I let them be with the chickens?? All of my chickens and ducks free range, but I have pens that I can use. I already feed a flock raiser type stuff so that isn't a problem.
housing?? Do they need any type of housing?? My ducks don't really have anything...they get under the trucks and camper occasionally. We also have an old Igloo doghouse that they use sometimes.
