They look awesome! Daddy George has a face only a mother would love! LOL

Gotta love those horns! Since he hatched in my hand I do feel a particular bond with him. He is much easier on the eyes when not close up. You can see him in the lower left corner of the flock pic. His dad was a buff silkie. Not sure what color his mom was. He was one of three that hatched from a batch of eggs sent to me by a member in California last year at this time.
Here's an adolescent pic

For some reason I don't have a wet, soggy chick pic of him. I think I was exhausted from staying up to help him out of his shell.

I've collected 5 eggs today. I got them within half an hour of being laid so they shouldn't have gotten too chilled. Two of them were still warm. And one of them was from a Barnevelder!! I didn't think they were laying but Carrie B. was definitely in the nest box. I marked that egg so we'd know which was hers. I think we've got one Buff Orpington and a Red Star or two, plus the Barnie and one EE. I'll check again all day. We could see one or two more today. I'll collect tomorrow's as well and DH will bring them to school on Monday! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Awesome!

Good! I hope to get some Welsummer eggs tomorrow. They don't usually both take the day off together, but today, of course they did just that!

O MY!!!

I can't wait to see pics of the chicks produced from all of those lovelies.

This is better than television anyday!

And as for the rooster... going backwards was a GOOD THING!!!
