New TSite

[hens & chicks]

Fairly new to site although I have been "lurking" around for awhile. I was around chickens at my grandmothers as a kid and now into it for juvt over a year and I cannot believe what I have missed. We moved back to Indiana from California and military life and have a small farm. We currently have 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 geese, 20 Bantams, 17 Buff Orphingtons, 10 Barred Rocks, 14 Speckled Sussex, 6 Peacocks, 2 Guineas, and 3 mixed chickens. I am currently raising 12 baby chicks from my hens. I am looking for Cucko Moran chicks, more Guineas in the Lavender or Whites and Pilgrim Geese. Oh-I almost forgot-I also have 2 pair of Black Guinea Hogs.
I look forward to your posts and replies to raising chcikens and in the health issues that are discussed. I am more of a reader than a responder but love everything I have read so far. Oh, I am also a retired school teacher and married for 30 yrs. Hubby does not want to admit it but he does have a fondness for the animals.
