She knew deep in the pit of her stomach that she would die come darkness's fall. The Queen had been right she should have never left the clan.
Set in modern times these Vampire's are not bound to the night by burning (or glittering) in the sun. While they can roam freely in the sun keeping what they are a secret is still of upmost importance because humans have to power to kill them with modern day weapons. But humans aren't there only enemies because where wolves also stalk the night competing for territory and hunting grounds.
He'd tracked her most of the day and he knew he was gaining on her. He wouldn't take pleasure in killing her but she'd hunted to close to humans and the pack for comfort. Though she looked like a young girl, eighteen at most he knew she could very well be over a hundred years old. While pack members live much longer then humans they don't come anywhere close to the life span of vampires. He knew he had the evil creature as she sun started to dip below the horizon. He trapped her in an alley way where no humans would see and shifted. Very quickly it was over and he took relief I knowing there was one less of those disgusting creatures on earth.
Set in modern times these Werewolves are not bound to the moon unless they are only halflings. A full wolf can turn at will but half breds only during full and new moons. They live long lives staying young for up to eighty years before aging starts again.
