New Website! Please critique!

I just created a new website for my farm. It's far from done. But I'd like to get opinion on the progress so far.

Tell me if the layout is working correctly. If things look off. What you do or don't like.

I'm all ears.

Everything looks good on my end but I know how pages can change on different computers and screen sizes.

Not all the goats are on there. And I will tell you now the kids, soaps, and birds pages don't work yet.

But I'd love for someone to take a peek.

Hi KinderKorner! I took a look at your page for you and you are doing a great job!

I did notice that on your 'News' page the 'For Sale' kind of floats up and down the page and when you first open the news page, you can see the 'For Sale' tab hiding behind the word 'news'... sheesh I hope you can understand what I mean!

actually the 'For Sale' does that on each page! - The home page, Our girls, Our boys etc.

Your top banner resizes to the screen size. Not sure if I like that or not. Skinny screens it looks squeezed from the sides. Wide screens it looks stretched.

If it resized the height as it does the width it would look better.

I really like it. My only critique would be that the picture on the front page is a little small.

Chookn: I'm not sure exactly what you mean. But is it something that went away after a few seconds or when you refreshed? It might of been the webpage loading its content.

rebel: I did that so the page would look consistant on different browser sizes. I wants the banner across the top at a specific % but I understand what your saying about the squishing. I may try changing the height with the width.

see how you can see the For Sale behind the text? as I scroll up & down the page the For Sale moves up & down...

I'm using internet explorer 7

hmmm. It's hard to make pages look correct on all browsers and screen sizes. I may just have to go with what works best for most.

I see it chookn. I'm thinking it's because your screen size is smaller than mine and is therefore bring the for sale tab down below the others. I will see what I can do. Thanks!
