New Wellsummer with Bald spot

I just bought a 4 week old Wellsummer from the feed store and it has a bald spot on it's back. What could this be from?

First thing that comes to my mind is the other chickens at the feed store pecking/plucking. Wouldn't surprise me if they had a bunch of 4 week old crammed in a spot designed for 4 day old chicks. They get grouchy and take it out on each other when confined to a small boring space.

I was thinking that also but now she seems to be itching in the brooder.... Rolling around a lot and I think pecking herself. Could it be mites?
