We keep our boys separate in two different coops with their own pair of ladies. Our CT rooster is white with large comb and wattles. Seems small as roosters go. His CT hen is our smallest girl, and she is pretty small, but she puts out our biggest eggs! Extra large whoppers! Our SG rooster is a very big boy and is a bit aggressive with our biggest dog (a redtick coonhound, who SHOULD be chasing THEM!
She is a huge wimp) and our new walker coonhound/rottie puppy, so he may end up in a pot. We are currently converting our metal shed over into a chicken coop to put them all together in a bigger space and have utilized part of the frame to an old hoop green house to make a run at the entrance. Excited to see it finished, but one of the boys will have to go...
Oh we plan on getting more! We will have room for 4 more girls!
