(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My family and I are brand new with having chickens. We have had them about 12 weeks now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 16. I thought they were all female...buuuut we may have a Male in the midst.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have a couple Leghorns, Gold sex Links, black sex links, a Cochin, and a few Easter Eggers (Americanas as were labeled)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My kids are learning responsibilities and we will soon be gathering eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Fishing, camping, zoo explorations, outdoor fun!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two boys. One with ADHD and the other with Autism. The chickens are helping them both learn more about care if animals and responsibilities.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Everytime I have asked a question relating to chickens via Google, i was directed here. Figured i might as well join since i have tons of questions pl
