New with questions about roosters crowing and neighbors

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

We moved to the country about 8 years ago. The farm across the road was for sale a couple years after we moved out here. My biggest fear was that someone with a bunch of screaming kids and barking dogs would move in, and it would be the same as living in town again.

It sold to a lady with horses, donkeys, geese, chickens, and guinea hens. So now we have to listen to that. Oh my, such a tragedy. We love it!

You are outside of the city limits doing what you want to do and legally can do. She could do the same thing or move. I wouldn't do a thing differently. I'd give her a dozen eggs and tell her you're sorry she doesn't like your chickens, but you do, and she may as well get some too then. ☺️

I wouldn't get any collars but maybe some guineas would be a good idea.
Yeah, tell her you're considering getting guinea hens, but since she's disliking a rooster crowing so much, those would be 10X as annoying. Then tell her you'll think about it. :gig
