Howdy! My name is Jenneca and I have heard many great things from this site and so very happy to have finally joined. I'm sorry to start off with an urgent matter but I'm in much need of help!
I have a new hen I brought home last night and as if tonight she finally was getting comfy with my girls. My gate didn't latch like it should have tonight and my new Aussie pup got out with us being unaware. She got my new hen! Her bum is bleeding as well as has sores all over her back. She's panting and distressed. I have removed her and confined her with badadine all over her body. What can else should I do!? She seems to be in a lot of pain with panting so much.

You have done the right thing by separating her, try to keep her as quiet as you can as she is more than likely in shock from the attack. Keep her covered so it's a little darker for her as this can reduce stress. For now if you have cleared the wounds and stopped the bleeding I would give her chance to calm down and then re check her. The wounds will need to be kept as clean as you can to stop infection developing. Yo could also post in the emergency section for more help and other tips on helping her. Here is the link ~
