I agree the cages should be raised. There are soo many diseases rabbits can get from unsanitary conditions. They should be fine with the chickens near by. I know the poultry and rabbits are always close together at all the county fairs. Its good to have the large cages. They are larger rabbits and need room to exercise and do rabbit things

The concern is not that "bugs" are going to jump off a chicken onto a rabbit a few inches away. My concern is the quality of the air in a small, enclosed and perhaps inadequately ventilated space such as the average chicken coop, not a huge, open livestock barn at a fair.
