Who did you get your RIR from? Kaiapoi is only a small place. I live in Kaiapoi which is on the edge of the Christchurch city, I have many chickens ( more than I can count) but am downsizing slowly until I have just a few to raise on, my pets, and my breeding stock. How do you find the winters for your chickens?

It was just a woman downsizing. She listed on trademe so I went for a look. Ive only had chooks like 6months so didnt have much of a winter for them.

Yeah the problem with chicken math is the downsizing lol. How have you found the last 6 months? Our winters here are very wet and muddy ( we flood about a foot of water and mud is winter for us) so everything has to be winterised and rain proof for the Silkies.
