Hello I am from Mississippi, Jackson. I am new chicken fan and want to breed. I just made 7x10 chicken coop. I am eager to look for best tasting eggs, I assume it is Maran eggs that tastes best. I am looking for Maran friendly rooster and 8 Maran eggs so I can raise and receive eggs. Anybody can refer me to someone so I can purchase?

Other question, how you manage to raise chickens in the city? Rooster crows, it makes a lot of noise in neighborhood?

Hello & welcome to BYC I have a young copper maran rooster but i live in Oregon so not to helpful for you.
Every town has different rules on what you can & cant have in city limits. Most frown on the Roo's but a few chickens are usually ok.

! Happy you joined us! One way to have a rooster in the city? Give some eggs to the neighbors on either side of your house and they will be fine with the rooster!!!! Good luck to you!
