I just wanted to say hi to everyone.
My first passion is my kennel of 5 Llewellin Setters which have a strong desire to hunt wild game birds.
Ironically, that lead to my next passion, quail and a long (presently cured) desire to own some pheasant, and that is what landed me here.

After I bought some Bob Whites they started to lay, and tried to nest. So I came here to learn about incubating and hatching. I have 57 in the oven right now.
It must be an addiction as I applied for my propgators license, bought 4 baby ring necks, 3 coturnix and will be waiting on some eggs when the get older as well~

That also means more pens! Geesh!!!!

Hope your dogs won't like the chickens in the wrong way. Dogs with strong prey drives, tend to be ones that massacre them. Hunting dogs may have soft mouths - regardless that can put a chick into shock. OY.

I use to raise chickens but no more. I had one that would flog anything every time it had the chance. Had a sing that said Beware of the Rooster!
Now I find a need to learn and discuss quail and game birds as my Llews and I have a similar desire.
In saying that I hope my intentions does not offend or step on many toes.

be forewarned, I am a joker with a degree of BS. lol
