Hello
frow.gif
and Welcome To BYC! Check out the Incubating and Hatching Eggs forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-hatching-eggs and a great article in the Learning Center https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101 Doing a split hatch like you are talking about doing is very tricky since eggs at different stages require different amounts of humidity, generally people who do multiple split hatches have more than one incubator and incubate in one and hatch in the other.
Thanks for the response, and the welcome. I know I'm rather tardy in replying. My bad. I've certainly been lurking, just not posting. I did end up making a separate bator for hatching. Lost my first batch when the hatcher got too hot overnight. I corrected my errors, tested for over 2 weeks, and am in the middle of a hatch now. I absolutely agree...having two bators is an absolute must for a split hatch.
