Hello! I’m new to the site but not new to chickens. It’s been years since I’ve raised them and now that I’m all grown up and not living in the city, we are ready to start looking at a new beginning.
(1) Are you new to chickens No / when did you first get chickens? When I was around 10 yrs old. 30 yrs ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Zero
(3) What breeds do you have? Na
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are beautiful and beneficial.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Crochet, art, learning new things.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I work from home and we want to become self sufficient and enjoy our new space of about 9 acres.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I found BYC a few years ago before we moved to a rural area in S. TX. We are hoping to build a flock for eggs and meat this fall.
