Hello all I am from Lubbock Texas. I am a grower for farmers markets and added free range chickens. I am new to the chicken world and learning. My question is.. Once a hen has been singled out and almost eaten can she be returned to flock.

Make sure she is back to complete health before putting her back in. Make sure you mix her back in slowly, and if that means to keep her in a cage within the flock for a while, do so. That way they are not going to be too aggressive with her. And make sure to put out several feed and water stations as many times lower ranking birds are not able to eat or dink without being harassed. Give them more room if you have to and give them things to do...hanging cabbages or veggies, seed pecking blocks or a flake of hay to scratch in. Just something to do other than pick on each other.

Good luck with your flock and enjoy BYC!

The other chickens did it. And I followed the imput I received for all of you. And I am happy to report it all worked out great!!!!!! She was released back in and all is well. Thank you all. I appreciate your help!!!!!!
