OK...been a long time since I was on this site. Will have to figure out how to navigate around. But I have something I need help with. My silkie hen hatched a cute little chick about 6 weeks ago. It is definitely a rooster. The little silkie family is so cute wandering around the yard together (mama, papa, and baby). BUT will papa fight with son when he matures?

I think if they are raised up together as family it may go well. Are you sure the baby is a roo? Silkies are extremely difficult to sex before 4-5 mos. old. Post a photo please.

Your adult roo is probably going to need more hens - otherwise he may overbreed the hen to the point of damage.
